Skylights & Chimney Demo

In an effort to gain some much needed space, we decided to rip out the old chimneys.  We weren't planning to use them and although they add a little architectural detail, the space is more valuable.  Earlier this week, I showed what the chimney removal looks like from the roof.

Apparently, Beau removed each brick, one at a time. It's a lot of bricks.

Beau was surprised to find that the chimney had no liner. I guess he thought that these were originally working fireplaces. Without a liner, he's thinking they must have been originally intended for a gravity heat system.
